Boating at the Big Bear Lake is open to everyone. Permissible uses include fishing, personal watercraft, kayaking, sail boarding, canoeing, sailing, float tubes, water skiing. Swimming is permitted within 50 feet of the shoreline unless otherwise posted.
Enjoy fishing and water sports on the Big Bear Lake
The Lake regularly filled with Rainbow Trout. You can fish it with a limit of 5 per day. Other species in the Lake include largemouth bass, small mouth bass, bluegill, black crappie, sunfish, carp, channel catfish and pumpkinseed. In the streams there are Deep Creek, Bear Creek they both feature the illusive native Brown Trout. Anglers are encouraged to "catch and release" in these areas.
