I am so glad we found the Black Diamond Lodge at the last minute before our trip! Our stay there was wonderful, the cabin was so so cozy and perfect, exactly what we were looking for and without any hassle as far as booking and check in/check out! The price was amazing too! I just want to thank the owners for all the extra personal touches this cabin offered! The beds were ridiculously comfortable and everything clean! Thanks!

We had the best honeymoon at this awesome cabin. It was my first time in Big Bear and we had a blast. The house was comfortable and very clean (which I am super picky about), Theresa left flowers, champagne, and plenty of firewood for us, and was available to take our calls to answer all of our questions before during and after our stay. We loved Big Bear Lake and we will definitely return, and I can’t imagine staying anywhere but Black Diamond. Thank you again Theresa for helping us have such a special honeymoon.

This Beautifully appointed (1800 square foot) home was built in 2002 and has modern furnishings. It has all the amenities you’ll need for a relaxing, fun holiday in the mountains. Located at the bottom of Snow Summit Ski Resort makes it ideal for the avid skier, mountain biker or family who just don’t want to get back in the car.

Walk to the slopes, corner store and much more. Just 2-5 minutes from the Lake, Restaurants, and all of Big Bear’s main attractions. There is ample parking for you and your guests in the large driveway, and we are situated on a flat street, ideal for the kids to go outside and ride bikes or play in the snow.

You will enjoy our very open plan, fantastic for entertaining. We have provided a large 54″ digital television for your enjoyment. The kitchen is fully equipped, complete with Belgium waffle maker.

Cozy up to a wonderful fire in the living room or Master Bedroom, take soak in the relaxing whirlpool tub or play an exciting game of Air Hockey. Go out on the back deck and have a delicious Bar-B-Q while you listen to the wind blow through the tall pines. Once you are here you won’t want to go home.

Numerous DVD’s available for your viewing pleasure. Cabin comes equipped with TV and DVDs in both bedrooms and living room.
Parking on the private driveway for 3 cars and is long enough for boat or trailer parking.

Walk just up to Switzerland to enter the resort parking lot for your skiing and snowboarding pleasure or walk to the shuttle located on Snow Summit Blvd to experience Bear Mountain Ski resort. Shuttle runs every 30 minutes. Winter and summer this is one of the best cabins true walking distance to the slopes yet in a quiet location. Summer fun on the lake which is just a mile away with all the delightful water activities Big Bear has to offer.
Summertime offers the chair lifts starting in Mid June. Bring a mountain bike and enjoy the lifts taking you to the top of mountain and a fast bike ride down!

The resorts are open for skiing until about the middle of April then the mountain activities start to change. Big Bear is completely different during the summer and some of the things to do include:

? Fishing ? There are several big tournaments during the summer with prize money up to $50,000.
? Boating / Jet skis / Kayaking / Parasailing ? There are many different rental companies around the lake. Boat sizes up to 26 feet. Lake is open 24/7.
? Water skiing / Wakeboarding ? The water temp gets up to about 72 degrees at the peak
? Sailing ? Several big regattas each summer
? Lake tours ? There are 2 different companies that give lake tours. They have sunset tours, Sunday champagne brunch tours and the pirate ship tour.
? 4 wheeling / Motorcycle riding ? There are about 200 miles of jeep trails / motorcycle trails
? Mountain biking ? Can take the chair lift from Summit mountain and ride down forest fire roads. A day pass is $15.
? Hiking ? Many different hiking trails and history to explore
? Car shows / Motorcycle shows ? There are smaller shows almost every weekend and a few larger shows with several hundred cars where they block off all of the downtown streets.

On July 4th they have a great fireworks show from a barge out on the lake. You can watch from the shore or in a boat.

The summer weather is amazing. Clear skies and 70 degree weather everyday during the summer.

We have 2 cabins that are walking distance to the ski resort as as 2 more condos that are almost in Snow Summit Ski Resort. We have two that are off the beaten path with endless views.
